IACM Award

The IACM will honour four people for their major contributions to cannabinoid research and/or to the re-introduction of cannabis into modern medicine with the IACM Award. The awards are associated with a prize money of 500 Euros.

The awards are:

Ester Fride Award for his/her Major Contributions to
Cannabinoid Basic Research

Award for Clinical Research for his/her Major
Contributions to the Re-introduction of Cannabis as a Medicine

Award for Young Researchers for his/her Major
Contributions to Cannabinoid Research

Special Award for his/her Major Contributions to the Re-
introduction of Cannabis as a Medicine

The IACM Award 2011 for Clinical Research went to Willy Notcutt, the IACM Ester Fride Award 2011 went to Andrea Hohmann, the IACM Award 2011 for Young Researchers went to Anatol Kreitzer, and the IACM Special Award 2011 went to Franjo Grotenhermen.

In 2009 the IACM Award for Basic Research went to Manuel Guzman, the IACM Award for Clinical Research to Mark Ware, the IACM Award for Young Researchers to Istvan Katona and the IACM Special Award went to Ethan Russo.

In 2007 the IACM Award for Basic Research went to Mauro Maccarrone, the IACM Award for Clinical Research to Donald Abrams, the IACM Award for Young Researchers to Giovanni Marsicano, and the IACM Special Award went to Raphael Mechoulam.

In 2005 the IACM Award for Basic Research went to Ester Fride, the IACM Award for Clinical Research to Geoffrey W. Guy, the IACM Award for Young Researchers to Mario van der Stelt, and the IACM Special Award went to Richard E. Musty.
